Students work on an experiment with a college mentor in Bard’s state-of-the-art science facility.

On Saturday November 8th, Dream To Achieve brought over 50 students from Hudson and Kingston to Bard’s campus for a day of fun and college awareness. Students took part in a dodgeball tournament, learned about the college process through a group activity, took a workshop led by a Bard professor, and enjoyed lunch at the dining hall. For each step of their day, students were joined by their Bard mentors- Bard students that work with them each week in Hudson and Kingston High School.

The workshops each student chose from included those featuring acting, drawing, science, and the logic of arguing. This was the first of many trips that students in the DTA program will take to Bard this year, as each month they have an off-campus activity with their mentors. We look forward to having them back at Bard this winter!
