As Dream To Achieve continues to expand its programming, local foundations are taking note. This fall, DTA has received almost over $27,000 in contributions. DTA is excited to announce partnerships with the Galvan Foundation, Hover Foundation, and the Alexander and Marjorie Hover Foundation. All are highly reputable organizations that serve the city of Hudson and its surrounding area.
The Galvan Foundation’s grant will cover the majority of the expenses for the Dream To Achieve After School Program, which launched on December 2nd. The program provides tutoring and academic skill building each day for under-resourced students from the Hudson City School District. The Hover Foundation will provide support for the Dream To Achieve Basketball Camp during the summer of 2014. The camp will bring Hudson youth to Bard’s campus for a week of basketball instruction and interactive workshops for its 4th summer.
The Hudson Arts and Humanities Fund, a fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, will help support the After School Program, particularly the academic assistance provided to the high school juniors enrolled in the program. Their contribution will also support the DTA CIT program; a leadership development and work opportunity for Hudson teenagers that show outstanding potential.
