Tuesday was another great day at Dream To Achieve Basketball Camp. The morning was
highlighted by a trip to the Bard Farm as well as basketball drills led by the bard team. At the farm, students picked and prepared their own salad.
After a relaxing lunch and swim break, student moved to league play and their afternoon activity. In the gym, Jordan Howard and Robby Eaton continued to shine on their court. By the end of their day, both of their teams held first place in their leagues.
The afternoon activity brought the students to a writing workshop led by Erica Kaufman and Rachel Cavell from Bard’s Institute of Writing & Thinking. The students wrote about the meaning of their names. They then turned their attention to an article about basketball player Dwyane Wade and his experience as a single father.
The theme of the day was Precision, which campers learned was the ability be as close to perfect as possible by focusing on details. Many campers did an outstanding job being precise. However, Danaya Oliver Ragland, Keshawn McKinney, Connor Hohensheldt, and Egypt Thomas did a particularly great job. For their efforts, they were recognized as campers of the day.
